Basic, Inc. DBA Sunbeam Wireless (hereafter “Sunbeam Wireless”) hereby expressly disclaims all implied warranties or warranties otherwise arising by operation of law, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of non-infringement, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the product and any other materials and services, and with respect to the use of any of the foregoing. The remedies stated in this document constitute the customer’s exclusive remedies and Sunbeam Wireless’s sole liability for breach of the limited warranties set forth herein.

 

Returns and Refunds

Purchases placed through our online store at sunbeamwireless.com may be returned for a refund, less our $30 restock fee, within 30 days of the date you received the item. Prior to returning your device, you must contact Sunbeam Wireless for a return authorization number and pre-paid shipping label. Include a copy of your receipt or proof of purchase with the returned item and include all accessories received in the box with the device, such as chargers and batteries. Accessories not returned will result in a deduction from the customer’s refund at retail pricing.

The returned device must not be physically damaged or have been subjected to moisture as indicated by the Liquid Damage Indicator to be eligible for refund. All devices being returned must be received at Sunbeam Wireless within two weeks of the RMA using the supplied return shipping label. Shipping fees or other costs incurred in delivery, activation, or use, are not refundable.

Once we have received your item and our team has processed the return, we will initiate a refund via the original method of payment. Please allow up to 14 days for processing the refund. The time required to apply the credit to your account will vary depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Purchases placed via resellers, dealers, or other sources are subject to their own return policy. We do not accept returns on products sold outside of our online ecommerce store.

 

Warranty and Exchange

If the device fails due to a manufacturing defect within 1 year of initial purchase, you are entitled to exchange the device for a replacement of equal value. Prior to returning your device, you must contact Sunbeam Wireless for a return authorization number, IMEI verification, and a pre-paid shipping label. When returning a device for warranty, include all accessories received in the box with the device, such as chargers and batteries.  Accessories not returned will result in a deduction from the customer’s refund at retail pricing. This one-year manufacturer’s warranty only extends to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred

Effective Aug 1, 2022, Sunbeam Wireless requires all phones submitted to Sunbeam Wireless for warranty service to be secured with a charge to the customer’s credit card. This change greatly simplifies the warranty/RMA process. The customer should review the terms and conditions of purchase, date of purchase, and warranty information on the Sunbeam website to evaluate if their device is eligible for warranty coverage. Upon contacting Sunbeam, an RMA will be issued, and a charge will be placed against a valid credit card. The customer will then be shipped a replacement device and supplied with a return shipping label to send back the original device, battery, and all charging accessories. Once the returned device is received at Sunbeam, it will be evaluated for warranty eligibility. This inspection will include verification of purchase date, IMEI verification, and evidence of damage caused by abuse, accident, physical damage, abnormal use or operation, improper handling or storage, neglect, exposure to fire, water, excessive moisture or dampness, extreme changes in climate or temperature or misuse. If the device is determined to be covered by warranty, the credit card charge will be released. Phones determined to be not eligible for warranty coverage will be carefully documented as to the specific conditions that exempt the phone from warranty coverage. Original orders not returned to Sunbeam Wireless in their entirety within 45 days of RMA creation shall be considered the customer’s property and credit card refunds will not be issued after that time. Customers who do not wish to secure their RMA with a credit card charge may create an RMA and send their device to Sunbeam Wireless for warranty evaluation at a cost of twenty dollars. Sunbeam Wireless will supply a shipping label to submit the phone for warranty evaluation. If the device is determined to be within warranty, Sunbeam Wireless will refund the full twenty dollars and ship a replacement device to the customer. If the device is determined to be outside of the warranty conditions, it will be returned to the customer.

Phones considered not eligible for warranty include but are not limited to:

  • Phones sent to Sunbeam Wireless without RMA documentation.  
  • Phones (or RMA replacement phones) that have passed beyond the original “1 year from date of purchase” warranty period. Please note that a device replaced under warranty continues the warranty period of the original device – it does not begin a new warranty period.
  • Phones that show evidence of any water damage as indicated by the liquid damage indicator(s) in each device.
  • Phones that show evidence of internal tampering or repair attempts, missing screws, or pierced tamper seals.
  • Phones with fractured, cracked, or disrupted LCD screens.
  • Phones that are physically cracked or broken.
  • Phones that have been altered to remove functionality such as the camera. 

Sunbeam Wireless does not warrant the functionality of parts that deteriorate with normal use, including keypads, screen surfaces, and batteries.

Please note that Sunbeam Wireless will not be responsible for the loss of any data or information, including contacts, text messages, music, photographs, calendar events, and such like. Sunbeam does not guarantee the recovery of any personal information from any device. Customers are responsible for backup, removal, and transfer of all personal information to or from their device. This warranty is only valid for phones operating in the United States and Canada.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Sunbeam Wireless’s total cumulative liability arising from the sale, use, and disposition of the product exceed the amount of actual direct damages, up to a maximum of the price paid for the product that is the subject of the claim. In no event shall Sunbeam Wireless be liable to the customer or any other party for any punitive, incidental, indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, incurred by that party, however caused and under any theory of liability, whether based in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence or product liability), or warranty, in connection with the sale, use, and disposition of the product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

Shipping

Sunbeam Wireless will issue, at its own expense, a shipping label for Warranty Returns, qualifying 30-Day Refunds and RMA Exchanges covered under the terms outlined above. Shipping labels that expire prior to use will not be replaced by Sunbeam Wireless and subsequent shipping costs will be borne by the customer. Any shipping paid by the customer is not refundable.

Version Update

Sunbeam Wireless reserves the right to make adjustments and/or changes to this warranty policy from time to time without notice.
